Job Description Design, implementation and maintenance of studios production pipeline, high performance storage/ backup, clustered render farm. Design, implementation and maintenance of Linux/Windows servers and storage. Handling the Data Centre and understanding its power, cooling, security and design requirements. Collaborating with the production team and clients for seamless delivery of data. Managing SAN and LAN network infrastructure, Network Core switches, Brocade San Switches etc. Handling large scale servers, Linux and Open source installations. Patch Management & Compliance. Participate in planning, procuring and facilitating IT infrastructure resources. Collaborate with production leads for ensuring smooth functioning of operations. Plan and implement IT policies. Managing Heterogeneous Operating Systems like Windows, Mac & Linux. Ensuring operational efficiency by evaluating and eliminating performance bottlenecks in the process including efficiently managing network systems and equipment. Managing Storage System Backup, Archiving etc. Maintaining high end DI Systems i.e. Film-light Base-light. 2.0. Maintain regular interaction with vendors, network, systems, wranglers, storage and support based on operational requirements. Integrated IT security to protect network, data and assets. Determining the Annual IT budget & make recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and deal with various vendors for procurement. Supervising the work of System Engineers and System Administrators. Managing a team of 8 to 12 members. Handling Escalated issues. Making sure that all the systems are running smoothly and redundant stoppages are avoided.
