Managing IT infrastructure, identifying needs and presenting IT budget to Management Heading team of around 30 IT professionals from IT infrastructure, application developers and data administrators Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user /clients and recommends technical solutions. Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions. Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status. Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel. Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable. Reviews with Management all business requirements prior to the release of technical solution. Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts. Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate. Responsible to play key role between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting. Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning. Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety Identify, direct and recommend new technology solutions and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades. Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems. Communicate regularly with executive management and all users of information services and systems. Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices, new projects and technologies; and varying staff strengths Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users. Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades. Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision. Required Education & Experience Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or related experience. Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience within information technology.
