Principal Data Protection Engineer Summary We are looking for a senior data protection engineer and subject matter expert (SME) with CommVault Simpana. As a member of a global data protection team, this role is responsible for day-to-day backup operations, troubleshooting, media management, and drive backup success rates and SLAs. The role requires strong knowledge and expience in CommVault, excellent communications skills, ability to effectively contribute to projects and implementations, and provide accurate and consistent reporting to management. Ability to work independently with a strong since of project ownership is mandatory. Ability to adhere to strict Change Management policies is mandatory. Job Duties and requirements 3+ years experience with CommVault in large IT environments or equivalent in professional services Assist in monitoring and resolving daily backup failures, restore request, media management, and resolve trouble tickets Troubleshoot backup infrastructure issues with vendor tech support Strong knowledge with CommVAult deduplication, IntelliSnap, Synthetci Copy, DASH Copy, Continuous Data Replicator, LiveSync, NDMP, VMware Proxy Copy, and Workflows.
