Responsibilities Aon is looking for a ( Sr. Cloud Engineer - (Lead Linux Engineer) Your Impact As A Sr. Cloud Engineer - Sr. Cloud Engineer - (Lead Linux Engineer) Maintain Linux templates build requirements insuring compliance in all cloud environments including HP, AWS, Azure VMware Document designs and ensure operations teams have adequate training to support end product Lead the evaluation/ evolution of tools/ technologies/ programs with input from internal teams, external developers, partners and customers. Establishing strategy and objectives and advocate solution and direction to stakeholders. Work closely with assigned customers in an effort to provide enterprise level solutions that meet customer requirements efficiently. Support requirements include the entire sales cycle including initial meetings, customer requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation support, and forecasting future work with the sales teams. Build internal and external practice strategies within assigned technology verticals. Create customer and internal procedures for IT installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Develop solution architectures, detailed designs, and configurations specifications for customer and internal references. Interface directly with sales and engineering level resources from the given manufacturers within the vertical, and build cohesive architectures and strategies for our customers. Standardize Architectures by working with technology leader in the company to ensure consistency throughout the architecture department. Document current solution and develop roadmaps to migrate to strategy solutions. Proactively identifying issues and improvement opportunities. Partner with other technology leaders, business partners, and stakeholders to understand and identify business demand, priorities, issues, and strategies to help establish and define the right structure to meet the short- term and long- term needs. Develop business case and assess financial impacts of proposed solutions and lead the technical team on RFP/ RFI's. Directing resources to diagnose and resolve complex system, application software, security and related problems that impact system and availability. Support global organization as a Linux SME. Facilitate collaboration across the organization to direct and better utilize infrastructure tools. Proactively identifying issues and improvement opportunities. Partner with other technology leaders, business partners, and stakeholders to understand and identify business demand, priorities, issues, and strategies to help establish and define the right structure to meet the short- term and long- term needs. Plan, develop and manage the infrastructure to enable strategic and effective use of tools Education Preferred years of Infrastructure Experience: 15+ Education: Btech/ Mtech Red Hat Linux Certified Sun Solaris AWS/ Azure/ VMware certified Preferred You bring knowledge expertise Required Experience Ability to automate infrastructure and application deployments, debut deployments and bring forth new ideas for continuous improvement Understanding of cloud based technologies Experience hardening operating systems to meet all security and compliance requirements 2+ years in Systems Architect or equivalent engineering title Strong background in systems and development operations Comfortable writing scripts in languages such as bash or python and have experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible/ Puppet Experience with continuous integration, log collection, and analysis, builds and performance monitoring/ tuning of your infrastructure Experience running and/ or building highly available systems Exposure to modern development tools and practices Proven experience writing robust, maintainable, scripts in Bash, Perl, Java, Ruby, Python File Systems design Experience or understanding of large scale enterprise systems Experience in a global 24/ 7/ 365, multi- tiered production environment Experience with Scripting/ Automation/ IaaS/ PaaS Expert Experience with AWS, Azure, VMware Infrastructure engineering or architecture experience Management experience with technical experts. Excellent systems/ network troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex problems.
