The Processing Testing groups primary focus is on the testing phase of the product development cycle. The group also has a responsibility to champion quality and process improvements in the delivery of all applications that are owned by Processing (including MarkitWire, MTM, PortRec, DS Match and LSM). The QA/ test toolset previously has been primarily the HP/ Mercury suite of QC/ QTP. This toolset has been replaced by the Python. A new framework has been developed using those tools and an in- house Python based API framework. Currently, test assets are written in VB script and Python. The strategic direction is the global harmonisation of tools and approaches across development, functional automation and non- functional testing, as well as a closer link between manual and automation testers. Approximately 90 people work as part of Processing Testing across a number of locations London, New York, Gurgaon, Pune and Chennai. Position summary Works as a part of a QA team and with the QA team in New York and London as well as Developers, Product Staff and Business Analysis to flush out requirements and create test plans, test scenarios, test cases and automation of test cases and create detailed test reports via Quality Center. Duties accountabilities Maintain standard test templates for functional test plans, test scenarios and test cases. Design and write test cases. Execute/ run test cases, review test results and report defects. Design automation test cases on the existing framework and can also come up with new framework. Is able to work as a dynamic / hybrid Tester for Functional and Technical Testing. Communicate with all levels of management on test status. Meet daily with testers in London and New York on testing deliverables. Business competencies Education and experience University Graduate with a Computer Science or an Engineering degree. Strong Background in Testing Methodology. 2- 4 Years in a structured testing organization. 1- 2 Years in Automation Testing or Development experience using Python or Java is a must. Good DB Testing experience. Understanding of OTC derivatives post trade processing in any environment is desirable, but not essential. General Understanding of Financial Instruments is a plus.
