Job Description/ Responsibility: Responsible for the entire technology setup for a startup e commerce business build on Magento framework. Responsible for managing the entire front end and back end operations of the e commerce site.  Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company services. Expectedly the person responsible holds the below mandatory traits: In depth knowledge of CMS platforms, especially Magento.  Hands-on coding experience in more than one currently popular web application framework relevant to build ecommerce platform like Java, PHP, HTML, Mean, CSS, Java Script, Python, Ruby, Objective C, C++, C#, etc. Knowledge on handling database like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Practical understanding on ecommerce web hosting complying with application and other factors. Has system admin knowledge and familiar with running the platform on AWS experienced with Linux system administration. Able to ensure the most efficient configuration of system servers experienced in web server configuration. Responsible for finalizing the technology partner(s) and managing the relationships. Responsible for timely, within budget and successful delivery of the technology solutions for the organization.  Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services. Managing IT infrastructure, identifying needs and presenting IT budget to Management Heading team of around 30 IT professionals from IT infrastructure, application developers and data administrators Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user /clients and recommends technical solutions. Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions. Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status. Associate Vice President, Information Technology Cvent is searching for a senior member to join the technology leadership team based in Gurgoan, India. The AVP, IT is responsible for managing key IT functions including Cloud Operations (supports revenue generating services), Enterprise services (Corporate IT) and Information Security. The leader will partner with global functional leaders to execute on a common roadmap. This position requires a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong track record of driving global IT teams to consistent & successful delivery. This position will be expected to work with senior leadership at Cvent Headquarters to define and execute the technology strategy for IT. Skills and Requirements B.Tech/B.E Degree in Computer Science + MBA or equivalent (Tier 1 college preferable) 15 18 years of experience in building & managing large IT teams with global organizations in public/private cloud set up to supporting large scale SaaS environments, to include vendor & contract & SLA/OLA management. Experience managing large scale, transaction-intensive, 24x7, multi-site, international operations with 1000s of servers and "4 9s" (99.99%) or above SLA, that includes responsibilities of 24x7 monitoring, Incident, Change & Release management. Technical depth to involve in architectural discussions with Systems, Network & Database teams to in order to make build vs buy decisions and drive the teams towards building a reliable site.
